We believe that changing the way we produce and distribute food is fundamental to solving the world’s most pressing social and ecological problems.
Norwich FarmShare exists to provide local, fresh, ecologically grown food and we do this using chemical free, ecological methods.
Our vision is to support food systems that educate, connect and empower local communities to be healthier and more resilient, to be rooted to the land and to each other, and to experience a direct relationship with how our food is produced.
We do this by providing veg bags to our members every week, combining what we grow with produce we buy in from other local organic or ecological suppliers where needed. We distribute these bags to our city Hub for collection or for delivery by our cycle delivery team.
We also offer regular volunteering sessions so people can learn about growing food, see where there veg comes from, connect with others and get outdoors. Look out for our seasonal open days too which are a great chance to come have a look around, say hello and see what we do.
Local food supports local economies. Food grown in the local community supports local jobs and encourages variety in our diets. It also requires less transportation, so it's fresher and has a smaller environmental footprint.
Norwich FarmShare is an excellent way to get local chemical-free vegetables at a great price whilst supporting growers, getting the opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills
