Purple Sprouting Broccoli

Ingredients

Purple sprouting broccoli is full of good vitamins and iron and is very nutritious.
There are many ways to cook it, feel free choose to pick one from the list.


Directions

1. Trim any hard ends from the broccoli stalks, as well as any coarse leaves. Only remove any tougher stems or leaves as the finer leaves and stems are edible. 2. You can either steam or boil in a little water which takes 5-7minutes just until tender. 3. Alternatively melt a knob of butter and fry the broccoli stems gently until tender- about 6 minutes 4. To roast Purple sprouting broccoli. Pour over 2 TBSP of olive oil and stir and coat. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until cooked. Enjoy cooking!

Such an amazing project which results in amazing veg to feed us throughout the week ! It has also introduced us to veg we might otherwise not have tried and love them now. And it's all local and chemical free! Cannot recommend it enough :)
