Chargrilled Asparagus and Broccoli with Chili and Garlic

Ingredients

1 head broccoli
1 small bunch asparagus
100ml olive oil
4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
2 mild red chillies, thinly sliced
coarse sea salt or maldon salt
black pepper

Directions

Separate the broccoli into florets and blanch for 2 minutes in boiling water. Plunge into cold water to stop cooking and drain. Repeat same process with the asparagus. Toss both with 1/2 the olive oil and salt and pepper. Heat your grill plate on BBQ or large frying pan until smoking hot. Grill the broccoli and asparagus in batches, turn to get nice char marks. Heat the remaining oil with the chili and garlic until garlic is golden. Pour the chilli garlic oil over the broccoli and asparagus on a serving platter and top with shaved parmesan.

Such an amazing project which results in amazing veg to feed us throughout the week ! It has also introduced us to veg we might otherwise not have tried and love them now. And it's all local and chemical free! Cannot recommend it enough :)
