Cavolo Nero

Ingredients

1 bunch cavolo nero
garlic, finely sliced
olive oil
salt and pepper

Directions

Remove the leaves from the fibrous stalk cavolo nero. Cook the leaves in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain well. Pour a few tbsp of oil into a pan place on a medium heat. Add the finely sliced garlic to the pan. Fry the garlic for a few seconds and then add the cavolo nero and salt and pepper. Saute for a minute or 2 and then remove from heat and serve as a side dish. *Other flavours that go well with cavolo nero which may be added to this dish are anchovies and lemon or bacon or parmesan.

Such an amazing project which results in amazing veg to feed us throughout the week ! It has also introduced us to veg we might otherwise not have tried and love them now. And it's all local and chemical free! Cannot recommend it enough :)
